CP Virtual Shutting Down

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE FUTURE OF CLUB PENGUIN VIRTUAL.

Today, April 8th, we are announcing that the Club Penguin Virtual online world will be closed down on April 12th, 2020 permanently. After said date is passed, the game will be offline along with the website. 
Any server claiming to be us will be fake unless addressed on our Twitter, @_CPVirtual.

At exactly April 12, 12:00pm GMT, the servers will be shutdown.
And on April 15, 12:00pm, our Discord server will be closed down for non-staff members.

Note to our players: Thank you. It has been such an incredible ride throughout the last 2 years. This closure is not the end of our journey, but the start of a brand new chapter.

Penguin World: Setting Sails

Hey penguins,

It is with a heavy heart that we are here to inform you that we have decided to close the curtains for Penguin World. Penguin World was created and launched into private beta on August 1st, 2019 in order to provide the community with a much safer and secure alternative for the original Club Penguin. While there were multiple other factors resulting in this decision, we believed that one of the main reasons that led to this decision was that as time progressed since the game’s release, it became noticeable that the game continuously kept delaying parties and various other updates as we kept shifting our focus on bettering our security.

Now that this decision has been made, we will continue to keep Penguin World’s servers up until April 20th, 2020 where we will shut down the servers permanently. Once the servers have been shut down, upon closure, we will be removing all player data linked to Penguin World effective immediately. That being said, if you would like to keep an archive of your account, we advise you to take screenshots of your penguins, items, stamps and igloos before April 20th as, once we have closed, there will be no way of retrieving your data.

This was an extremely hard decision we, as a team, have made. We would like to thank each and every one of you within our community who took the time to play our game and reported bugs to help us create a smoothly running game, and also, our current and former staff who volunteered their time to ensure everybody is safe while interacting in our Discord Server and in our game. Penguin World wouldn’t have any meaning if it wasn’t for YOU our, small, but loving, community. Penguin World was built up by each and every one of you from our community and we couldn’t have asked for a better community.

As we set sails and close the curtains for Penguin World, we will be holding one final community meet up and one last party. Our final party will be called the “Waddle On” party which will be taking place from April 7th, 2020 up until the game’s closure on April 20th, 2020.

We will also be holding one final community event which will include the majority of our moderation team as we say one last goodbye to Penguin World. This event will be taking place on the following time/date:

Date: Saturday, 18th April 2020
Time: 4:00 PM (Penguin Standard Time)
